Adeline Sholey, 87, formerly of Linton, died Saturday, May 7, in the Strasburg Care Center. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Myers Funeral Home, Linton. Graveside services will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at St. Georges Catholic Cemetery, Cooperstown, ND.Adeline Sholey, 87, was born July 14, 1923 near Jesse, ND, the daughter of Walter and Isabel (Clemens) Clemens. She attended grade school in Devils Lake. Adeline married Thorman Sholey, Sr. in Devils Lake, ND. They lived in Devils Lake for two years where Adeline worked in a restaurant. They moved to a farm south of Edmour where they farmed. In 1951 they moved to Cooperstown, ND and then moved to Linton in 1953. Thorman died in 1974 and Adeline continued to live in Linton with her sister, Lavern. She worked for Model Bakery and Kraft Funeral Home. Adeline entered the Strasburg Care Center on December 29, 2000 where she died May 7, 2011. Adeline enjoyed traveling, music and dancing. She was a member of St. Anthonys Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Dr. Thorman and Jolene Sholey of Sheridan, WY; two grandsons: Dr. Todd Sholey of Rock Springs, WY and Nathan Sholey of Spokane, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Ronald Sholey, three brothers, Leroy, Raymond and Henry, and one sister, Lavern R. Clemens.
