Agnes Kelsch, 85, Strasburg, ND, died Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Sanford Healthcare, Bismarck, ND. Cremation has taken place. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg, ND with Rev. Jason Signalness officiating. A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Inurnment will be in the church cemetery.Agnes Kelsch was born on September 24, 1930 in Emmons County, ND, the daughter of John A. and Elizabeth (Schmaltz) Bosch. She grew up on a farm near Linton, ND and attended country school. Agnes married Peter Kelsch on June 14, 1949. Following their marriage, they farmed and raised a family on various farms in Emmons County.Agnes worked as a blackjack dealer and also worked at the Strasburg Care Center. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Grand River Casino. She enjoyed playing cards, especially pinochle with friends, crocheting, quilting and sewing for many years.Agnes is survived by five sons; Thomas (Beverly), Fargo, ND, Peter Jr. (Giget), Bismarck, ND, William, Strasburg, Richard, Bismarck, and Michael (Jodi), Linton; nine daughters, Darleen (Sean) Devaney, St. Paul, MN, Linda Miklos, Willow River, MN, Donna (Leon) DeGreef, Wilmot, SD, Betty (Gery) DeGreef, Mandan, ND, Sharon (Joe) Belter, Ramsey, MN, Judy (Jim) Hettwer, Grand Forks, ND, Theresa (Doug) Fercho, Bismarck, ND, Candace Kelsch, Fargo, and Janell (Dave) Zelenka, Melrose, IA; one daughter-in-law, Donna Kelsch, Rantoul, IL; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Alice Stoppler, Linton, ND.Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Steven and Patrick, one grandson, Thomas James Kelsch, and three brothers.
