Albert P. Masset, 77, of Linton, ND, died December 4, 2024, at his home under the care of Hospice. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 10:30 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Linton. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Sannes Feist Funeral Home, Linton. Burial will take place at St. Anthony Cemetery.

Albert was born to Anton P. Masset & Perry (Bachmeier).  He attended Country School and Strasburg Public School.  Albert worked for Emmons County as a blade operator for a few years with his friend Benny.  He also worked at the Linton Livestock for about 3 years.  He married Kathy Masset (Holzer) on May 22, 1971, at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Strasburg. Albert and Kathy lived one year at Jennersville before they moved to the family farm southwest of Linton.  From 1972 – 2018 they lived, worked and raised their three children, Rick Masset (Michelle), Lisa Ternes (Aaron) and Chuck Masset (Annie)  In December of 2014 Albert suffered a severe stroke.  In 2018, Albert & Kathy moved to Linton to ease the tasks of everyday life. Never complaining about the dramatic change in their life, they spent the next few years cherishing every moment together.

Albert loved visits and laughter from his seven grandchildren. Kylie Ternes, BryAnn Ternes, Kaden Masset, Riley Masset, Peyton Masset, Parker Masset & Kaisley Masset. He enjoyed fishing, hunting & camping with his family & friends and spending time with his dogs, especially his last dog Scooby.  He was a huge fan of any sweets, but his love was chocolate.  Spending time with his friends and reminiscing about all the good times always brought laughter to the room. He spent time watching Nascar, the Vikings and listening to Old Country Music. Enjoying the simple life, was a good life.

Albert is survived by his wife, Kathy; his children Rick, Lisa & Chuck; his brother, Wilfred Masset; his grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
