Obituary

The funeral for Alice Heier, 82, formerly of Hague, ND will be at 10:30 AM, Monday, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hague. Burial will be in the church Cemetery under the direction of Myers Funeral Home, Linton.Alice died December 26, 2012 in a Mandan Care Center. Visitation will be from 12:00pm until 5:00pm Sunday at the funeral home and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the church, with a prayer service at 7:00pm.Alice was born August 15, 1930 the daughter of Anton and Katherine (Wald) Miller. She grew up on the family farm. Alice attended country school. She married Rainer Heier on January 21, 1948 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bismarck, ND. They purchased the family farm in 1949 and operated a Grade A dairy farm for 39 years. Rainer died February 9, 2010. Alice was a member of St. Mary's Altar Society and the Hague Senior Citizen's Club. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting many, many doilies and afghans for her children and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by six sons and three daughters-in-law, Francis Heier, Fargo, ND, Clarence and Sheryl Heier, Phoenix, AZ, Joseph and Debbie Heier, Sumner, WA, Gary Heier, Tacoma, WA, Steve Heier, Bismarck, ND and Andrew and Yvonne Heier, Tampa, FL, four daughters and three sons-in-law, Jane Roehrich, Linton, ND, Linda and Jim Mitchell, Minneapolis, MN, Marie and Rick Landsberger, Bismarck, ND and Michelle and Ron Anijo, Tacoma, WA, 24 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, five brothers and six sisters-in-law, Edmund and Fidelis Miller, Burnsville, MN, Chester and Theresa Miller, Portland, OR, Robert and Theresa Miller, Aberdeen, SD, Agnes Miller, Bismarck, ND, Conrad and Helen Miller, Minneapolis, MN and Dennis Miller, Hague, ND, two sisters and one brother-in-law, Mary Volk, Hague, ND and Ann and Ray Braun, Seattle, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, David and Richard, three brothers, John, and two in infancy, one son-in-law, Patrick Roehrich, one sister-in-law, Pearl Miller and one brother-in-law, Peter Volk.
