Aloys Selzler, 86, Strasburg, ND died Friday, September 13, 2013 at the North Dakota State Hospital in Jamestown, ND.Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg, ND, with Rev. Jason Signalness officiating. Burial will be in the church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2013 with a Prayer Service to start at 7:30 p.m. at Myers Funeral Home, Linton, ND and continue for one hour before services at the church on Friday.Aloys was born on January 13, 1927 at Hague, ND to Jake and Katie (Schneider) Selzler. He attended rural school at Strasburg. He farmed southwest of Strasburg and drove school bus until he retired. On June 19, 1976 he married Lillian (Kraft) Krumm at St. Peter and Paul church in Strasburg. He was a member of St. Peter and Paul Church, Lions Club and Beaver Valley Horse Club. He loved horses, woodworking and fishing with his grandson, Jake.Aloys is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lillian of Strasburg; 2 step-daughters, Bonnie Vetsch of Bismarck and Bernie (Steve) Johnson of Kansas; 1 step-son, Roger Krumm of Strasburg; 5 step-granddaughters, Bridgette, Erika, Rhonda, Julie and Janice; 1 step-grandson, Jake Vetsch; and 5 step-great-grandchildren, all whom he loved like his own. He is also survived by one sister, Rose Weichel of Strasburg Care Center; 3 brothers, Ervin (Kathryn) Selzler of Strasburg, Gene (Katy) Selzler and LeRoy (Connie) Selzler both of Oregon; 1 brother-in-law, Leonard Kraft of Arizona; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leonard; and brother-in-law, Lawrence Weichel.
