Alvin was born on December 29, 1925 on the family farm North of Pollock, SD, the son of Andrew and Lizzie (Klingman) Kunz. He attended country school. Alvin helped his father out on the farm for many years. Later he and his brother Fred took over the family farm where they continued to live and farm. Alvin retired in 2004 and moved into Pollock. He enjoyed going for drives in the country and loved to visit with family and friends. Alvin is survived by his three brothers and sisters-in-law: Fred Kunz of Pollock, SD, John and Dorothy Kunz of Bellevue, WA and Ted and Faith Kunz of Philip, SD; one sister and brother-in-law: Arlene and Gene Morton of Britton, SD and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Adelaide.
