Obituary

Angeline "Angie" Renee Howard (Haak), age 76, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026, in Bismarck, North Dakota. Memorial Services will be held at 10:30am on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Hull Christian Reformed Church, Hull, ND.  Burial will be in the Hull Cemetery.

Angie was born on May 12, 1949, in Emmons County, North Dakota, Angie lived a life filled with love, dedication, and cherished memories.

Angie pursued her education with determination and passion. She graduated from Strasburg High School and continued her studies at UND - Ellendale, Valley City State University, and Northern State University. Her commitment to learning was a hallmark of her life and an inspiration to those around her.  She spent all her working years in Education.  She started her first teaching job in Westfield ND in1971 for 1 year before starting in Fort Yates and continuing in special education for 40+ years.  After retirement from education, she continued working by helping Kenny at the restaurants and chasing grandkids.

Angie shared a loving marriage with her husband, John Howard. Together they built a family that brought immense joy and pride into their lives. She is survived by her husband: John, her sons: Eric (Shaylene), Jesse (Cheryl), and Kenny (Kendra). Angie's legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: Cole (Kelley), Dylan (Kayla), Tristin (Raelee), Jaydin, Avary, Ella, Lukas, Harper, Courtney and great grandchildren: Julianna and Delilah.

Family was central to Angie's life. She is also survived by her siblings: Elaine (Russell) Ryckman, Harlan (Pam) Haak, Louise (Gerold) Bitz, Alvina Fischer, Noreen (Curtis) Dykema, Renold (Paula) Haak, and Thomas (Cassie) Haak; as well as her sisters-in-law: Marilyn (Florian) Voller and LuCinda Haak; brother-in-law: Jim Howard.  Angie was deeply loved by numerous nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.

She was predeceased by her parents: Albertus and Mary Ann Haak, her in-laws: Presley and Florence Howard, her brothers: Russell Haak and James Haak; brother-in-law: Richard Howard; sister-in-law, Diane Howard as well as a niece and nephew.

Angie's warmth touched the lives of all who knew her. Her memory will be treasured by family members and friends alike.
