Arnold Arnie J. Baumiller, 75, Hazelton, ND, died Sunday, June 6, 2010 in the Linton Hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 10, 2010, at First Baptist Church, Linton, ND with Rev. Jason Haas officiating. Burial will be in the Linton Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Myers Funeral Home, Linton, ND and continue one hour before service time on Thursday. Arnold was born May 7, 1935 in McClusky, ND, the son of Jacob and Philipine (Grossman) Baumiller. The family lived in California for a short time (1940). They returned to a farm southeast of Hazelton. Arnie farmed with his parents. He married Carole James on November 16, 1963 at First Baptist Church, Linton, ND. Following their marriage, they continued to live and farm on Arnies parents farm. He was currently farming with his son, Scott. Arnie was a member of First Baptist Church. He enjoyed farming, hunting, spending time with and attending his grandchildrens sporting events. Arnie is survived by his wife: Carole of Hazelton, ND; two sons and daughters-in-law: Scott and Corrine Baumiller of Hazelton and Mark and Lynette Baumiller of Bismarck; one daughter and son-in-law: Kara and Corey Backer of Bismarck; six grandchildren: Travis, Jared, and Cole Baumiller, Kristi and Katie Baumiller and Vivian Backer; one brother: LeRoy Baumiller of Detroit Lakes, MN and one sister and brother-in-law: Linda and Dave Iverson of Detroit Lakes, MN; and several nieces and nephews. Arnie was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, Florence McAtee, Alice Wagner, Deanna Baumgartner and Bernita Grenz; two brothers, Walter and Raymond Baumiller, and one nephew, Dennis Schoepp.
