Obituary

Brent Lynn Zietz, 57, of Mesa, AZ (formerly of St. Ansgar, IA) passed away unexpectedly on October 29, 2017 due to injuries sustained from a motor vehicle accident northeast of Mesa.

Brent was born in Minot, ND on September 16, 1960 to Lester and Lenore (Benton) Zietz of Underwood, ND. He spent his first 3 years in Burlington, ND before moving to Underwood. He played football in high school, and graduated from Underwood High School in 1978. He was an accomplished trumpet player, including a performance tour in Europe. Brent was confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Underwood and served his Lord faithfully throughout his life. Through his heart for God, Brent ministered to others by using his skills and tools to help neighbors, friends, and family repair or install anything they needed help with. Prior to retiring to Mesa with his wife Janet, Brent worked for Hormel Foods and attended Cornerstone Church, both of Austin, MN.

Brent enjoyed ice fishing, swimming at the dam, and taking in the scenic views while riding motorcycle. Most everyone knew that his favorite holiday was the 4 th of July. Many happy memories were made every year with family and friends, whether celebrating at the farm or up in North Dakota. His smile and laughter will truly be missed.
