Obituary

Brian Wald, 49, of Hazelton, ND, died July 10, 2024 at his residence.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am, Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg with Fr. Shannon Lucht officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Sannes Feist Family Funeral Home, Linton, ND.  There will be a vigil/rosary at 7pm.  The livestream of the funeral can be found on Sannes Feist Family Funeral Home website under Brian's obituary.

Brian Wald was born on Jan 8,1975 to Anton and Elaine Wald. He grew up on the family farm east of Strasburg along with 5 siblings. Brian graduated from Strasburg Public High School in 1994. He then went on to acquire several welding certifications from NDSCS in Wahpeton. He moved to Fargo and worked at the Concord Air seeder manufacturing facility for several years. After the facility closed, he worked various other jobs in the Fargo area. As his father's health deteriorated, he decided to move closer to his parents and bought a home in Hazelton and worked several jobs in the area and was currently employed at DFC in Hazelton.

Brian was kindhearted, talented and hardworking. Without hesitation he would help friends and family with their home repair and remodeling projects, vehicle repairs and loved doing yard work. Brian's hobbies included collecting toy Case tractors and implements as well as antiques, of which he had many proudly displayed in his home. Collecting antiques was a hobby he shared with his dad. Brian also loved his dogs, primarily Beagles, of which he over the years rescued Kia, Mia, Boston, Copper, Sadie and Sam and treated them like his children.

Brian is survived by his his mother, Elaine, brothers: James(Doris), Randy(Tracy), Loren(Laura): sisters: Cheryl(Michael) and Lisa(Todd): Nieces and nephews: Stefanie, Josh, Lauren, Nicole, Ranae, Cole, Lance and Leah: Great nieces and nephews:  Van, Jett, Morgan, Nicholas, Benjamin, Dylan, Jeremy, Emma, Josh Jr, William and Aria; Great – great nephew, Liam.

Brian was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Anton M(Ida) Wald and Albert(Anne) Bertha; his father, Anton: brother-in-law, Gerard Jangula;  nephew, Jason Wald and great nephew, Christian Labrensz.
