Caroline Wald, 83, of Bismarck, ND died March 9, 2026 in a Bismarck Care Center.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Monday, March 16, 2026 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hague, ND with Fr. Paul Eberle officiating.  Burial will be in St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery, Zeeland, ND.  Visitation will be 1 hour before the services at the church.

Caroline was born on December 15, 1942 to Emmanuel and Theresa (Heilman) Miller.  She attended rural school west of Hague, ND and graduated from Hague High School.  Caroline married James G. Wald on June 19, 1961 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hague, ND.  They had celebrated 52 years of marriage when Jim passed away in 2013.  Following their marriage, they lived on the Wald family farm near Zeeland, ND where they raised five boys.  In 1980 the whole family moved from the farm to Bismarck, ND.

In Bismarck, Caroline worked for Bismarck Public Schools, as a cook, for many years.  She also did home and commercial cleaning on her own and worked for several companies.  In her spare time Caroline enjoyed reading and doing many crafts and home projects.

Caroline is survived by her five boys:  Dion (Michelle) Wald, Bismarck, ND, Kevin (Melinda) Wald, Gonzales, LA, Darryl Wald, Baton Rouge, LA, Greg (Tina) Wald, Bismarck, ND, Jeff Wald, Bismarck, ND: Her three Grandchildren, Morgan (Cole) Turner, Bismarck, ND, Brandon (Kayla) Wald, Bismarck, ND,  Katie (Jaysen) Scott, Bismarck, ND: and two Great Grandchildren, Aiden and Violet Turner: Sister-In-Law Janice (Frank) King, Brother-In-Law Rick (Audria) Wald, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James G. Wald, five Brothers, and six Sisters.
