Charlotte Ann Stenseth, 82, Linton, ND formerly of Devils Lake,, ND passed away July 30, 2026 in a Bismarck, ND hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at the Sannes Feist Family Funeral Home.

Charlotte was born on February 2, 1944, in Jamestown, North Dakota, to Howard and Louise (Sieh) Struble. She grew up on the family farm and ranch alongside her siblings, Keith, Chuck, and Mary. She often spoke fondly of her country upbringing and the values of hard work and family.

She graduated from Jamestown High School, where she served as Worthy Advisor of the Jamestown Rainbow Chapter. She then attended North Dakota State University in Fargo and was a member of Phi Mu Fraternity.

While attending NDSU, Charlotte met the love of her life, Dean Stenseth. Their engagement story made us smile—they got engaged at Willy's Hamburger Stand while on their way to study for class. They were married on September 4, 1965, in Jamestown.

Together they built a life in North Dakota, welcoming two daughters, Maren and Jen. Their family also grew when they welcomed Riko, an exchange student from Japan, into their home in Oakes, while all three girls attended high school in Oakes. Charlotte treasured the lifelong friendship that followed, and Riko remained part of the family ever after.

Throughout their lives together, Charlotte and Dean made homes in several North Dakota communities as Dean's work took them to different towns. Charlotte held a variety of positions over the years, including serving as librarian at Oakes Elementary School and later working for Lake Region Corporation in Devils Lake.

Charlotte and Dean especially enjoyed spending time together playing cards, camping, bowling, golfing, and visiting with friends and family. While hunting and fishing weren't exactly Charlotte's favorite pastimes, she happily tolerated them until her daughters were old enough to join Dean—something she always joked about with a smile.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Dean; her parents, Howard and Louise Struble; her brothers, Keith and Chuck Struble; sister-in-law Darlene Struble; niece Tiffiney Dick; and nephew Bruce Struble.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Maren (Wayne) and Jen (Joseph); her sister, Mary (Bob); her grandchildren, Bohdey (Suzanne), Aspen (Jack), and Skylar (Cash); her great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Harper, Bentley, and Maverick; her sister-in-law, Lynne; her host daughter, Riko, and daughter, Asuka; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Charlotte will be remembered for her welcoming heart, her sense of humor, and the joy she found in simply being together with those she loved. Her kindness and unwavering devotion to her family will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

 The family prefers memorials be given to a local Shriners Children's Association.
