Clarice was born in Cologne, MN on June 9, 1927, the daughter of Victor and Agnes (Weber) Jorissen. She attended school in several areas as her father worked as a depot agent for the Milwaukee Railroad. Clarice graduated from Brownton High School in Brownton, MN. She lived in Minneapolis where she worked as a secretary and switch board operator. She married Andrew Schumacher on July 21, 1948 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Strasburg, ND. Following their marriage, they lived in Linton where Clarice raised her family. She was a member of and served as President of Christian Mothers. Clarice was also a member of a homemakers club and was a 4-H Leader. She enjoyed cooking, baking, golfing and crocheting. Clarice is survived by her husband, Andrew Andy Schumacher, Linton, ND; three sons and two daughters-in-law: Mike and Deb Schumacher of Linton, Victor Schumacher of Malta, MT, and Brian and Sue Schumacher of Linton; two daughters and sons-in-law: Andrea and Gary Hager of Kenmare, ND and Clarice and Mark Harrison of Ferndale, WA; 20 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters-in-law: John Jorissen of Mankato, MN and Henry and Jackie Jorissen of Boulder, CO Mary Jorissen of Minneapolis, MN; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Mae and Carl Beatrez of Hutchinson, MN and Marie Roberts of Danube, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Patrick, one brother, Victor and one sister, Darlene.
