Clinton Dykema, 46, Strasburg, North Dakota passed away at the Strasburg Care Center on November 27, 2021.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 2021, with a prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m., at Myers Funeral Home, Linton, ND.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Hull Christian Reformed Church with Pastor Rich Cook officiating. Myers Funeral Home of Linton will be streaming Clint's service for any family and friends that can't attend at www.Myersfh.com under Clint's obituary.

Burial will take place at the Hull Cemetery following the service.

Clinton Ernest Dykema was born on a stormy night of February 22, 1975, in Mobridge, SD, only minutes after arriving at the hospital. Later that day, he was taken to Bismarck, ND, by his dad, Grandma Carol Jean (Sis) Dykema and Aunt Dorothy Pollock, for his first of many, many surgeries due to being born with the birth defect called Spina Bifida. He was baptized at St. Alexius Medical Center before he could go to surgery.

He grew up, first on a farm west of Strasburg, ND, then moved to the family farm south of Strasburg. Between his brothers Brett and James in age, and older sister Bobbi, Clint grew up as an ordinary kid. He attended school at Bakker Public, and then Strasburg High School, graduating in 1994. Clinton was extremely smart with a quick wit and sense of humor. He got around with crutches until he had to be in a wheelchair.

He moved to Bismarck in the fall of 1996, living independently for several years where he enjoyed going to the mall and watching traffic on Bismarck Expressway. After several years on his own he moved to the Strasburg Care Center. He enjoyed going to car shows and junk yards with his father and brothers. Buggies and Blues was a yearly highlight for him. He spent his time collecting toy cars, trucks and tractors. He could tell you the make, model and year of any vehicle. He enjoyed listening to music and talk radio, never afraid to share his point of view. He had many visitors, especially his nieces and nephews. His nephews and other young visitors were enamored with his massive toy collection. Often, visitors to other residents of the care center would need to go to Clint's room to retrieve their children when they were ready to leave.

Clinton passed away November 27, 2021, 8 days after his Grandma Carol Jean (Sis) Dykema. He joined his mother Mary Pollock Dykema, grandparents Robert and Peggy Pollock and Carol Jean Dykema, and Aunt Dorothy Pollock in heaven and his golden retriever Ralph.

He is survived by his father Ronald (Loreli) Dykema, sister Rev. Dr. Bobbi (Tim Bender) Dykema, brothers Brett Dykema and James (Nicole) Dykema; nephews Ben Dykema and Bridger Dykema; nieces Mary Margaret Dykema, Cara Dykema, and Addison Dykema, and Grandfather Ernest Dykema; stepsister Cat (Chris) Binde; aunts, uncles and cousins too numerous to mention. He also had an extensive network of Facebook friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Camp Grassick, 833 Grassick Ln, Dawson, ND 58428; Gillette Children's Hospital, 200 University Ave E, St Paul, MN 55101; or the Spina Bifida Association.
