Connie L. Holzer, 77, Bismarck, ND unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025 from a massive brain hemorrhage stroke. Her daughters and family were by her side – Their hearts are hurting as they were not prepared to say good-bye.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at the Hope Reformed Church, Westfield, ND with Pastor Randall Cloud officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.  Interment will be held in the church cemetery.

Connie was born December 3, 1947 in Linton, ND the daughter of Steven G, and Evelyn (Vander Laan) Huizenga.  She grew up on the family farm a mile out of Westfield with her older brother, Steve and younger sister, Sherry.  In 1967 she met the love of her life, Michael R. Holzer from Linton, ND.  In 1968 they welcomed their first daughter, Lisa into this world.  Connie and Mike were married on September 10, 1969.  They had their second daughter, Lori on August 20, 1970 and their third daughter, Stacy was born on February 17, 1973.  Their three daughters were their pride and joy and when asked if they were glad they had all girls, they replied, "Yes, you girls are a handful enough."

Through her childhood years, Connie was active in 4-H and loved to sew some of her clothes.  She was very talented at sewing.  She sewed a lot of her daughters clothes and sewed Barbie doll clothes for them.  She also loved wood craft projects and was very good at them.

Connie was a feisty little firecracker, but she was always there for you.  If she was told she needed to buy something like a new car, she would say, "Why, I don't need a new car".  She definitely was good at saving money and always thought of her girls first.

She did home day care for 6 years until her three daughters were in grade school.  Connie worked at Dakota Fire Insurance Company of Bismarck for 37 years.  She retired in 2014.

Connie is survived by her daughters, Lisa Goetz of Minneapolis, Lori (Luke) Cook and Stacy Holzer all of Bismarck; her granddaughters, April (Bob) Cochran, Alexis (Nick) Faber and Julia Goetz; her grandsons, Cody (Molly) Goetz, Cameron (Jordyn) Goetz and Chasz Stein; her great grandchildren, Owen, Jazzy, Medora Mae, Ivy, Estella, Vixten, Aceten and baby Faber due in January.  She is also survived by her brother, Steve (Sally) Huizenga of Westfield and sister, Sherry Meier-Bernhardt of Bismarck and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
