Darnell Tschosik, 40, Strasburg, ND, died Saturday, November 19, 2016. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg. Burial will be in the church cemetery.Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Myers Funeral Home where there will be a prayer service at 7 p.m.Darnell was born March 17, 1976 to Augustin and Marlene (Gartner) Tschosik in Bismarck, ND. He grew up in Strasburg and graduated from Strasburg High School in 1994. Darnell attended college in Wahpeton for a short time. Darnell worked as a carpenter in various places including North Dakota, Minnesota and Texas, taking great pride in his work. For the past several years he worked in Strasburg and the surrounding area.Darnell was very strong in his faith and active at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, serving as Grand Knight.Darnell enjoyed pheasant hunting, fishing, going to his brothers' lake cabin, tubing on the river with friends, playing darts and especially playing pool.Darnell was a great son and brother. He was an awesome uncle to all of his nieces and nephews. A kid at heart, his greatest joy was spending time with them. He loved to laugh and always had a smile on his face. Darnell had a heart of gold and if anyone ever needed anything, he was always there to help. He was a genuine and honest person and never had a bad thing to say. He had many special friends and touched more lives than he realized.Darnell will be deeply missed by his parents, Gene and Marlene, Fargo, ND; three brothers, Lyle, Roseville, MN, Lynn, Fargo, and Loren (Melissa), Fargo; two sisters, Mary (Dan) Piwowar, Royalton, MN, and Sister Maria "Dannette" Tschosik, Lake Elmo, MN, nieces and nephews, Alexis, Nicholas, Julia, Grant Tschosik, Galen, Brittany, Talon, Collette, Clarissa, Theodore , Brianna, Grace Piwowar; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Darnell was preceded in death by his grandparents.
