Denver James Glas was born March 11, 1983 to Dennis and Diane (Meidinger) Glas at the Wishek Community Hospital, Wishek, ND. Denver attended Wishek Public School and graduated in May 2001. In his teens to early twenties, he worked a variety of different jobs including Mallard Elevator Construction and installed gutter and siding for ABC Seamless. He met and fell in love with Kari Lynn Schatz in 2001; they married on June 23, 2006 and have three beautiful children. He worked on drilling rigs in the oil patch in western ND from 2001 until 2015. In April 2015, he moved to Linton and worked side by side with his uncle, Gene Meidinger, at the Meidinger family farm near Zeeland, ND.Denver was a kindhearted and hardworking young man. He would do anything for anyone in a heartbeat, much like his mother. He loved his family wholeheartedly; especially his three little kids Gunner (6), Colton (5) and Brooklyn (3). He also loved his dog, Molly, and traveled everywhere with her. He was the type of person who helped others whenever needed, made you laugh with his dry sense of humor and made his friends feel like family. Denver worked hard and played harder. Tell him he can't and he worked twice as hard to prove you wrong. Denver had the ability to fix anything, a trait he most likely inherited from his father. He was very close with his sister Denielle and enjoyed horseback riding with her. He also enjoyed farming, carpentry, playing cards, horseback riding, riding motorcycle, hunting, camping, boating, fishing, rodeo, drawing, shooting pool, listening to music, playing guitar, attending concerts and NASCAR races, and spending time with his family and friends. He loved being out at the river and watching the sunset on the farm.Denver died August 15, 2016 in a motorcycle accident at Bismarck, ND. He was 33 years old. Denver's genuine kindness, memorable laugh and huge heart will be greatly missed.Denver is survived by his children, Gunner, Colton, Brooklyn and his wife Kari, Bainville, MT; parents, Dennis and Diane (Meidinger) Glas, Wishek, ND; sister, Denielle Glas (friend Brandon Anderson), Mandan, ND; grandparents Wilbert and Landina (Sayler) Meidinger, Wishek, ND; Rose M.
