Linton
Dolores Hausherr, 83, of Linton, North Dakota, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Dolores will be remembered for her strength, faith, and unwavering love for her family.
Born on January 25, 1942, in Strasburg, North Dakota, Dolores was the beloved daughter of Stephen and Katie Rohrich. She grew up in a large, close-knit family, learning the values of resilience, compassion, and devotion that would shape her life. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Maurice "Bud" Hausherr, with whom she shared a deep and enduring partnership.
Dolores dedicated her life to caring for others. A loving mother to seven children, including five adopted, she nurtured her family with tenderness, patience, and endless energy. In recent years, her grandson Joshua cared for her, holding a particularly special place in her heart. Dolores treasured her family deeply and delighted in the company of her grandchildren Gunnar, Walker, Grace, Zachary, Alex, and Molly, as well as her great-grandchildren Malakai, Ezekiel, and Jonah.
A three-time cancer survivor, Dolores embodied courage and perseverance. Her strength inspired everyone who knew her, and her unwavering faith as a devout Catholic guided her through every challenge. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life-reading, cooking, and baking-often sharing her warm kitchen and kind spirit with family and friends.
Dolores is survived by her children, Lorrie Ann Hausherr, William M. Hausherr, and Jessica Hausherr; sisters Agnes Haak and Cecilia Seaman and many extended family members who loved her dearly.
Funeral arrangements will be announced to family at a later date, she will be interred with her husband in Portland, Oregon.
Dolores will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her.
