Edward Carl Ryckman was born February 24, 1940 in Linton, ND to Carl and Rena (Plaggemeier) Ryckman. He was raised and educated in Pollock, SD and is a 1958 graduate of Pollock High School. Edward was united in marriage to Adella Jean Rice in Pollock on June 10, 1963. They made their home in Pollock prior to moving to a farm near Trail City, SD in 1966. Ed returned to Pollock in 1982 and has made his home there since.Ed enjoyed life on the farm, helping others, hunting and fishing.Survivors include 3 sons: Rex (Denise) Ryckman of Ft. Pierre, SD, DelRay (Lisa) Ryckman of Huron, SD, Eldean Ryckman of Ft. Pierre, SD, 9 grandchildren: Ryan, Casey, Brandon, Katelyn, Carl, Cody and Chance (Jason) Ryckman, Mariah Hartsock. Trevor (Amber) Nickels; 3 great-grandchildren: Daxter, Vada, Jayden; 1 brother: Willis (Lydia) Ryckman, 3 sisters: Anna, Luella and Dorothy. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Gerald and Elmer and an infant sister and sister, Geraldine.
