Edwyna E. McRaney, 102, Bismarck, ND, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at the Baptist Health Care Center, Bismarck.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Myers Funeral Home, Linton, ND. Visitation without a viewing (per Edwyna's request) will begin at 9:30 am. Burial will take place at Sand Creek Cemetery, rural Linton.

Edwyna was born on May 15, 1917 to George and Katherine (Kiemele) Huber, on a farm near Temvik, ND. She graduated from Temvik High School in 1935. She went on to earn her teaching certificate from Dickinson State Teachers College in 1937. She taught rural school near Hazelton for a few years before moving to Washington where she continued to teach. Edwyna also attended Washington State College and after going to night school she received her four-year degree from Oregon University in 1953. She later moved to Oxnard, California where she taught school until retiring in 1980. Edwyna moved back to North Dakota in 1997.

Edwyna is survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and great-great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lucian McRaney; and her siblings, Martha, Lydia, Ernestine, George, Jake, Alma and Carolyn.
