Emarencia "Emma" Wolf, 99, Linton, ND, passed away on January 7, 2019, at the Strasburg Care Center, Strasburg, ND.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Linton, with visitation for one hour prior to the funeral mass. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Hague, ND.

Emma was born on a farm near Zeeland, ND on April 25, 1919, the daughter of Sebastian and Helena (Kraft) Mitzel. She attended country school near Zeeland. Emma moved to San Francisco to work in the shipyards during the war and later moved to Minneapolis where she worked at Honeywell and at the original White Castle.

She married Steven A. Wolf on December 13, 1945, at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Minneapolis. The couple made their home on the Wolf family farm near Hague, ND, where they raised 5 children.

Emma was a member of the Christian Mothers, Catholic Order of Foresters, and a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, needlepoint, playing cards, and Rummikub. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Emma is survived by 3 sons, David, Minneapolis, Ronald (Chris), Eden Prairie and Stanley (Beth), Moorhead; 1 daughter, Anita Hamilton, Pensacola, FL; 9 grandchildren, Aby (Josh), Philip (Julie) Margo, William, Adam (Kristine), Carissa, Edward (Jenna), Emmarencia and Margaret; and 1 sister, Barbara (Joe) Leier, Braddock, ND.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven; son, Thomas; 4 brothers, Peter, Fred, Frank, and Claudius Mitzel; and 2 sisters, Irene Mitzel and Helen Aberle.
