Emma Hehn, 91, Strasburg, formerly of Pollock, SD, died Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Strasburg Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Pollock Memorial Presbyterian Church, Pollock, SD with Rev. Floyd Haan Officiating. Burial will be in Spring Valley Cemetery, Pollock, SD. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Myers Funeral Home, Linton and continue for one hour Saturday before services at Pollock Memorial Presbyterian Church. Emma Hehn was born August 1, 1919 on a farm southwest of Pollock, SD, the daughter of Jacob and Amelia (Gatzke) Quenzer. She attended country school. And was raised on the family farm, Emma married Albert Hehn on March 27, 1943 in Linton, ND. Following their marriage, they lived and farmed south of Pollock. They moved into Pollock in 1951. Emma was a cook at the Pollock School for many years. She also did some house painting in the area. Emma and Albert retired in the mid 1970's. Albert died in September of 2000. She continued to live in Pollock until April 2008 when she entered the Strasburg Care Center. Emma enjoyed gardening, yard work, quilting, crocheting and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Pollock Memorial Presbyterian Church and the Pollock Senior Citizens. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Terrance and Shirley Hehn of Rapid City, SD and Bernie and Carol Hehn of Abilene, TX; four grandchildren: Jennifer (Albert) Williamson, Patrick (Jody) Hehn, Deborah (Brian) Bertsch and Robert (Julia) Hehn; and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2000 and her brother Carl Quenzer.
