Ervin Selzler, 89, Strasburg, ND passed away December 9, 2020 at Sanford Medical Center, Bismarck, ND.

A private family inurnment will be held at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Strasburg, ND, Saturday, December 12, 2020 with Father Shannon Lucht presiding over the Rite of Committal at the Cemetery.

Ervin was born on November 24, 1931 to Jacob and Katie (Schneider) Selzler, Strasburg, ND. He was raised and attended a country school in Strasburg, ND. He married Kathryn Lacher on October 19, 1954. They made their home at the family farm near Strasburg, ND. They continued to live on the farm until 1978 when they moved into Strasburg.

Ervin deeply loved his family, and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed farming and farmed for many years. Ervin was a member of the Beaver Valley Horse Club and enjoyed many wagon trains and trail rides.

Ervin is survived by his six children, Ron (Brenda) Selzler, Roger Selzler, Sharon (Keith) Mehlhaff, Peggy Selzler, Richard (Becky) Selzler and Shelly Curtis; Grandchildren, Lance (Stephanie) Selzler, Michael Jangula, Melissa (Herb) Hawley, Kristin Jangula, Cory Mehlhaff, Chantel Mehlhaff, Chance Mehlhaff, Tiffany (Chris) Wittrock, Jesse (Kayla) Nieuwsma, Nicole (Jaime) Selzler, Samantha Nieuwsma, Mathew Curtis, Jacob Curtis, Joshua Curtis; 12 Great- grandchildren, Jared, Caleb, Waylon, Cady, Aryana, Rylie, Aden, Aspen, Blake, Brecken, Fischer and Jamison; 1 brother, Leroy (Connie) Selzler; 2 sisters-in-law Kathy Selzler, Jenny Lacher and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ervin was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn Selzler and his parents Jacob and Katie Selzler; his 4 siblings Rose, Aloys, Leonard and Gene.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully asks that memorials be made to National Rifle Association.
