Farrell Lee Hanson, 84, Hague, ND died January 28, 2023 at the Linton Regional Medical Center, Linton, ND. Cremation will take place and no local services will be held.

Farrell was born January 15, 1939 in Fargo, ND the son of Orien and Edythe (Anderson) Hanson.  He was raised and educated in Fargo.  He graduated from Fargo Central High school in 1956.  Farrell married Susan Yahnke on May 15, 1961.

Farrell was a manager for the Federal Canteen Service with the federal government before retiring in 1997 with over twenty nine years of service.  Shortly after his retirement he decided he wanted to move back to his home state and settled in Hague, ND.  He was drawn to this area for its pheasant hunting, fishing and the friendly residents in this small community.  He loved spending his retirement years back in North Dakota.

He was an avid sports fan and his favorite teams included the NDSU Bison and the always frustrating Minnesota Vikings.  He was a true and loyal fan.  Farrell had a great sense of humor and enjoyed conversations with both new and old friends, as well as with his family.

Farrell is survived by his children, Wendy Hanson (Mohammad Salman) of Marshall, WI, Stephanie Bullock of Colorado Springs, CO, Carter (Daryl) Hanson of Wauwatosa, WI and Natalie Wilson (George Sokol) of Florissant, CO; four grandchildren, Alec Bullock, Suzanah Wilson, Skye Wilson and Sawyer Hanson; three great grandchildren, Oaklyn and Liam Fischer and Farrah Zunker; a brother, Bruce (Barb) Hanson of Fargo and a brother-in-law, Paul Millen as well as many nieces and nephews.  Farrell is also survived by his special friend, Mary Humann of Napoleon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Susan in 1993 and a sister, Marcia Millen.

Rest in peace dad, you will be forever missed.
