FLORINE V. SCHIERMEISTER

June 2, 1935 ~ November 26, 2009

Florine V. Schiermeister, 74, of Hazelton, ND, died November 26, 2009 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am at Seventh Day Adventist Church, Bismarck, ND with the Rev. Dennis Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Hazelton Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 9:00am to 9:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home, Linton and will continue for one hour before the services at the church. Florine was born June 2, 1935 in Linton, ND, the daughter of John and Lydia (Wolfer) Wohl. She grew up on a farm and attended school in Linton, ND. She worked at Schneiders Caf and Model Bakery. Florine married Melvin Schiermeister on December 12, 1954 at the EUB Church in Linton, ND. Following their marriage, they lived and farmed west of Hazelton until Melvins death in 2003. Florine moved into Hazelton in 2004. Florine did cooking at the Senior Center and catered for several years for local meetings and gatherings. She is survived by Three sons and three daughters-in-law: Dean and Marlene Schiermeister of Lincoln, NE, Veris and Antoinette Nettie Schiermeister of Hazelton, ND and Shayne and Sarah of Fremont, NE; five grandchildren: Mandi (Kenny) Lindley, Benjamin Schiermeister, Adam Schiermeister, Luke Schiermeister and Raanne Schiermeister; one step grandson, Richard (Jenny) Hill; four great-grandchildren: Kali, Nikki, Rachel and Marrissa Missy; and one brother Melvin J. and Lilli Wohl of Linton, ND; a special sister Elsie and friends Jenny and Laura. Florine was always thankful for her many friends that offered help and prayers during difficult times. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and four sisters.
