Frank Jacob, 87, Linton, ND, Died Monday, January 17, 2022, at his home.
Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Linton, ND, with Father Dosch officiating. Myers Funeral Home of Linton will be streaming Frank's service for any family and friends that can't attend at www.Myersfh.com under Frank's obituary.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 21, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Linton, ND.
Burial will take place following the service in the St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery.
Frank Jacob was born on July 11, 1934, on the family farm located northeast of Linton. He was the son of Michael and Rose (Miller) Jacob, Sr.
He attended rural school and helped on the family farm.
He married Helen Ell on July 19, 1954, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Linton. From this union 10 children were born. They farmed east of Linton for 38 years. He retired in 1992 and moved into Linton, ND and continued to help on the family farm.
He was a member of the Beaver Valley Sno Goers; a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus and he also served as president of the Our Club for 10 years. He was also a member of the Foresters; member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kintyre, ND, and St. Anthony Catholic Church, Linton, ND.
In his younger years he enjoyed bowling, darts and pool. He enjoyed playing cards, ice fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Helen of 67 years, six children, Ken (Cindy) Jacob, Bismarck; Mary Dusek, Moorhead, MN; Rita (Jerome) Mosset, Linton; Louise (Doug) Peterson, Blaine, MN; Edward (Lisa) Jacob, Dilworth, MN; and Gerard (Lori) Jacob, Linton; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Thomas Jacob, Bismarck, ND; Michael (Sally) Jacob, Linton; sister Rose (Francis) Weisbeck, Herreid, SD; sister-in-law Angeline Jacob, Linton.
He was preceded in death by four children, Diane, Gary, Terry, and Francis; son-in-law David Dusek; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Valentine; four sisters and three brother-in-laws, AnnaMary (Andrew) Werner; Julia (Joe) Kiefer, Maggie (Tony) Weisbeck, Theresa Jacob; one sister-in-law Esther Jacob.
