Fred was born December 12, 1932 in McIntosh County, the son of Andrew and Esther (Munsch) Entzi. He was raised and educated in McIntosh County. Fred entered the US Navy in 1952 and was honorably discharged in 1960. He served during the Korean Conflict. Fred married Gerda Jenner on June 24, 1956 in Ashley, ND. They lived in Gackle where they farmed until moving to Lehr. They owned and operated the Lehr Hardware and Supply until retiring to Strasburg in 1994. Gerda died in 1998. During his retirement, Fred enjoyed fishing, gardening and visiting with family and friends. Fred is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark & Valerie Entzi of Watford City, ND and Steve and Kris Entzi of Glenwood, MN, five grand-daughters, Megan, Alissa, Samantha, Paige and Lacey, one brother and sister-in-law, Leo and Pat Entzi of Wishek, ND and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucille and Ervin Glaesman of Lehr, ND and Arlys and Marvin Kuhn of Gackle, ND and special friend, Marcella Keller of Linton, ND. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1998 and one brother, Gary.
