George Joseph Deisz, 68, Linton, ND, died Monday, April 28, 2014 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Linton, ND. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Myers Funeral Home from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. where there will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue for one hour before time of service on Thursday at the church.George was born October 8, 1945, in Linton, ND, the son of Joseph and Katherine (Krumm) Deisz. He grew up and attended country school in rural Linton. He always enjoyed being on the farm where he lived his entire life.George farmed many years until retiring. He loved his cattle and also raised pigs for a short time.George was a lifelong member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church where he was a reader and usher Church for many years. He was a former Knights of Columbus member. He liked to read, watch Prairie Public TV and old TV shows.George is survived by his sister, Mary Ann Deisz of Linton as well as many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
