Gladys was born August 28, 1921 the daughter of Andrew and Elizabeth Lottie (Green) Wallman in Regan, North Dakota and resided mostly in North Dakota. She attended grade school in Emmons County, ND and graduated from High School in Morton, Washington. Gladys also attended college for one year in Bismarck, ND. Gladys married Lawrence (Bud) Tracy on September 24, 1943. Following their marriage, they lived in Yakima, WA from 1967 to 1971. Gladys taught country school for a few years. They farmed and ranched until they retired in 1984. Bud died January 19, 2003. Gladys helped with Meals on Wheels and did volunteer work at the Strasburg Care Center. Gladys enjoyed reading, playing cards, sewing, knitting, crocheting quilts and afghans and hardanger. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and cooking for her family. Gladys is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Paulette and George Vetter of Mandan, ND; three sons and daughters-in-law: Douglas and Barbara Tracy of Las Vegas, NV, Spencer and Marie Tracy of Sumner, WA and Byron and Cheryl Tracy of Issaquah, WA; nine grandchildren: Tracy, Georgia, Paul, Sean, Tiffany, Jamie, Brandon, Chantelle and Andrea; three step grandchildren: Lisa, Nick and Michelle; six great grandchildren: Mercedes, Madison, Cole, Jayden, Jessica, and Clara; two step great-grandchildren: Gavin and Taj; one sister-in-law: Violet Tracy of Mandan, ND; and special friend: R. J. Andersen. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2003, two sisters, Mildred Nagel and Esther Ramsey and two brothers, Everett Wallman and Laurwell Laurie Wallman.
