Gloria was active in her church as a Sunday School teacher, Bible study leader, and choir member.  Gloria was active as well in the American Legion and Auxillary programs.  Gloria's gardens over the years were one her beloved treasures she tended with care and pride.  Gloria spent many many happy hours in her kitchen, where she baked much loved turtle cookies, crispies, and in a nod to her Norwegian heritage, krumkake, lefse, vafler, and sandnotter.  Over many years Gloria's treats were mailed to many relatives and friends and always with a letter included...and sometimes a cartoon.
