Gregory Kelsch Sr. 85, of Linton, ND, died peacefully at his home on March 4, 2011. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Linton with Fr. David Richter and Deacon Jerome Volk officiating. Burial will be in the spring in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 9:00am to 4:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home, Linton and from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the church with a prayer service at 7:00pm. Gregory was born March 6, 1925 in Emmons County, the son of Joseph and Catherine (Senger) Kelsch. He was raised and educated in Linton. Gregory married Malonia Volk on October 15, 1947 at St. Philip's Catholic Church in Napoleon, ND. Gregory farmed and ranched the 3rd generation on the family farm. He especially enjoyed harvest time. Gregory also enjoyed being in the fields and around his cattle. He always enjoyed being self-employed. Things were his way, which was the only way! Gregory enjoyed life to the fullest. He also enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved to visit with just about anyone. He loved to spend lots of time at his son's shop across the road, and he loved going to livestock sales and playing cards. He is survived by his wife, Malonia of Linton, ND; two sons and daughters-in-law: Gregory and Gloria Kelsch of Linton and Bruce and Tara-Lynn Kelsch of Bismarck, ND; one daughter and son-in-law: Kathleen and Don Moos of Bismarck, ND; eight grandchildren: Jason (Sheila) Kelsch, Calvin (Paula) Kelsch and Melanie Kelsch, Eric (Keriann) Sauter, Evan (Jade) Sauter, Steven (special friend Crystal) Sauter, Sara Sauter and Katie Ann Kelsch; five great-grandchildren: Kloe, Landyn, Peyton, Madisyn and Eli; two step great-grandchildren: Mark and Stacy Vander Vorst; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Tony and Viola Kelsch of Linton, ND, Alvin and Annette Kelsch of Linton, ND and Joe and Joann Kelsch of Linton, ND; one sister and brother-in-law: Loretta and Clarence Burgad of Linton. He was preceded in death by his parents, step mother, Barbara Kelsch; three sisters: Alice Eberle, Maggie Fischer and Rose Schumacher; two brothers: Louis and John Rohrich and a great grand daughter, Harlie Ann Kelsch.
