Obituary

Jacob was born October 7, 1923 in Linton, ND, the eldest of twin sons of Harry Wolbaum, Sr. and Josephine (Mitzel) Wolbaum. He lived in the St. Michaels area for several years before moving into the Braddock area with his family where his father rented land for several years before buying the farm four miles west of Braddock where Jake grew up. Jake married Margaret Feist on October 25, 1950. They purchased the farm from his father in 1955 where they farmed and raised their children. In recent years they retired from farming but continued to reside there. Jake was a member of St. Katherine's Catholic Church, Braddock Lions Club, Braddock Senior Citizens and a lifetime member of the Bismarck Eagle's Club. Jake is survived by his wife: Margaret of Braddock; one son and daughter-in-law: David and Fonda Wolbaum of Braddock; one daughter and son-in-law: Patty and Dennis Leier of Jamestown, ND; five grandchildren: Matthew and Michael Wolbaum, both of Braddock, Megan Wolbaum and fiance, Cody Schulz of Milton, ND, Mandy Leier and fiance David Steckler and Corey Leier all of Jamestown, ND; one great grandchild: Hunter Steckler; four brothers and three sisters-in-law: Harry, Jr. and Lena Wolbaum of Braddock, Mike and Eleanore Wolbaum of Steele, ND, Gus and Mary Ann Wolbaum of McKenzie, ND and George Wolbaum of Portland, OR; and one sister and brother-in-law: Josie and Milton Keller of Bismarck, ND.
