James "Jim" J. Rohrich, 86, Strasburg, ND died January 30, 2025 in a Bismarck, ND care center.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg with Father Shannon Lucht officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.  Interment will be held in the church cemetery with military honors provided by the Strasburg VFW and the U.S. Air Force Honor Team.

Jim was born on August 16, 1938 on a farm in Emmons county the son of Stephen and Katie (Lipp) Rohrich.  He attended country school through the eight grade and later earned his GED.  Jim served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.  He received an honorable discharge and returned to the Strasburg area.  Jim married Irene Johs, of Hague on September 26, 1964.  They moved to West Fargo, ND and had two children, Brenda and Brian.  Jim managed a grain elevator in Fargo for 35 years.  He retired in 2003 and moved back to Strasburg.  During retirement he enjoyed spending time on the family farm and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was a lifetime member of the VFW Color Guard in West Fargo and later a member of the Strasburg VFW.  He was also a member of the Strasburg Lions Club.

Jim is survived by his wife Irene; his daughter, Brenda Rohrich; his son Brian (Annette) Rohrich; his grandchildren, Savannah (Jadyn) Lippert and Jesse Rohrich; his great grandson, Grayson; his sisters, Cil Seaman, Deloris Hauser and Aggie (Gary) Haak and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters and two brothers.
