Jared
Jacob
Oct 9, 1991 — Dec 8, 2010
This isnt an ordinary obituary because Jared Jacob was not just any ordinary young man. On October 9, 1991 Rodney and Denette (Braun) Jacob welcomed their son Jared into their small Linton farm family. Jared immediately became best friends and partners in crime with his older brother Scott. Although life was great for the Jacobs, it wasnt balanced until the birth of Jareds sister Kayla, his angel and his younger brother and future human punching bag, Rylan.
Now with the family complete, life was in high gear and that was the gear that Jared liked the best. Jared was a great athlete physically and mentally. He brought everything he had to his high school football, wrestling and track career. Jared loved his classmates and was proud to be a graduate of the Linton High School Class of 2010. Beyond high school sports, Jared was passionate for hunting, derby car building, dancing and great music. He enjoyed these activities with his friends and his girl, Katie.
With all these activities life can be busy, but Jared and his family always found peace and togetherness at St. Michaels Catholic Church. The St. Michaels community engrained a strong spiritual strength into Jareds heart. This strength along with his fun personality, passion for life and love of his family describes Jareds character. Jareds approach and attitude to an unexpected diagnosis two years ago depicts his story and his legacy.
Challenges can break you, or they can make you stronger. Jared and his family chose to be strengthened and to strengthen others. Today, because of this so carefully placed detour in Jareds life, Jareds family, along with Scotts girlfriend Alexis, love deeper. His grandparents Mike and Sally Jacob of Linton and Tony and Barb Braun of Napoleon hold their families tighter. His many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends will move through their lifes challenges easier. Parents tuck their children in with a little more love, teenagers pray harder and with more meaning and athletes perform better. Every person touched by this story moves closer to finding peace and the true love of Jesus Christ. All of this is because the LIFE of Jared has brought strength. It has helped people feel strong when they have reasons to feel weak.
STAY STRONG JJ STRONG
