Ethel Jean Spriggle Van Beek was born January 13, 1930, to Doris & Blanche (Buck) Spriggle. She married Ernest Van Beek on March 18, 1949 and they had four children, Lynn and Lynda (Jieke) twins, David and Gary. Jean served as a school teacher for one year and was also a hospital aide, lab assistant, and a library aide. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church. Jean was preceded in death by her son, Lynn, her sister, Joyce Heer and her husband, Ernest. She is survived by 4 siblings, Wayne Spriggle, Longview, WA, Kay Hjelt , Butte, MT, Lyle Spriggle, Caldwell, ID and Lanny Spriggle, Pasco, WA; 3 children, Jieke (Lynda) Velando (Rod), Thornton, CO, David Van Beek (Marla), Portland, OR, and Gary Van Beek (Kim), Wichita, KS, five grandchildren, John Van Beek Sarah Titus (Don), Rebecca Van Beek, Daniel Van Beek (Erica), and Michael Van Beek, and 3 great grandchildren, Abigail, Bethlehem and Benjamin Titus. And her beloved cat, Mischief.Her fondest memory with family was her children's early years.Her inspiration was her parents and to trust God and to do everything to her best abilities.Her greatest accomplishmentwife, children and our homeswhereverShe would not change muchtry to learn things soonerTo be remembered for being a home bodycaring for her family and sometimes others.
