Jill R. Holzer, 52, of Linton, ND, died peacefully with her family by her side on August 28, 2023 at Sanford Hospital, Bismarck.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am, Thursday, August 31, 2023 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Linton, ND with Fr. Mark Aune officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 5pm to 7pm at the church in Linton.  There will be a rosary/vigil at 7pm.

Jill was born on March 26, 1971 in Linton, ND, the daughter of Dean and Judy (Sauter) Dockter.  She was raised and educated in Linton.  Jill graduated from Linton High School in 1989.  Following high school, she attended the University of Mary, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing in 1995.  She worked at the Linton Hospital as a charge nurse for 10 years.

Jill married Paul Holzer on July 22, 1995 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church.  They were blessed with 4 children:  Haleigh, Erik, Ryan and Nathan.  Jill worked at the Strasburg Care Center for 16 years as the Assistant Director of Nursing.  Most recently she worked as the clinic manager at the Linton Clinic.

She enjoyed exercising, walking with her best friend, Jackie, going to church, following her kids sporting events, going out with her friends, going to the river with family and friends, making scotch-a-roos, raising baby calves and spending time with her family, especially her time with Bryson.

Jill is survived by her husband of 28 years, Paul of Linton; her children:  Haleigh (Mason) Ryckman of Hazelton, ND, Erik, Ryan and Nathan all of Linton; grandchildren:  Bryson and another grandbaby due in December; her mother, Judy Dockter of Linton; sister, Jody Huizenga (Curt Reeff) of Linton, brother, Jack (Connie) Dockter of Linton; mother and father-in-law:  Ann and Magnus Wagner of Linton, ND; brothers-in-law:  Terry (Kate) Holzer of Linton, Pat (Stephanie) Holzer of Virginia; sisters-in-law:  Brenda (Brian) Schaffner of Bismarck, Corrine (Dan) Thiele of Bismarck, Carla (Dave) Friedt of Minnesota, Leann (Tim) Volk of Linton, Jodi (Mike) Kelsch of Linton and Mary Ann (Trevor) Melin of Kenmare and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Dean Dockter; father-in-law, Paul Holzer; grandparents Dorothy and Edwin Sauter and Arthur and Beulah Dockter.
