Obituary

The funeral for Johnny John Lee Caruso, 60, Linton, ND was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at the Linton United Methodist Church with Rev. Cori Waisanen officiating. Burial was in the Linton Cemetery under the direction of Myers Funeral Home, Linton. John was born on July 8, 1950 the son of Joseph Sr. and Elizabeth (Sweet) Caruso. He was raised and educated in St. Paul, MN. He graduated from Monroe High School in St. Paul. He also attended St. Paul Vocation Technical College, graduating with a degree in civil engineering. John worked as a civil engineer for Banister Engineering and then he attended the North Dakota Law Enforcement Training Academy in Bismarck. He moved to Linton in 1976 where he was a police officer and E.M.T until 1982. John married Sharon Lammert on June 11, 1977 at the Bible Baptist Church, Linton. They continued to live in Linton. John worked at various Linton businesses and also for the Wishek Radio Station. John also co-owned Dukes Pizza and worked for Hedahls. John most recently worked with Rosenbluth International/American Express as a travel agent and also for Cenex Agronomy in Hazelton. John enjoyed old cars, music, playing pool, bowling and his sideline business Stax of Wax. He was an avid fan of the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Vikings. John enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Sharon of Linton, ND; two sons and daughters-in-law: Jason and Amy Caruso of Barnesville, MN and Enrico and Becky Caruso of Linton, ND; four grandchildren: London, Cairo, Gianna and Mia; and two dogs: Mary and Gracie and several nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Joseph Caruso Jr. and a step father, Ray Schwartz.
