John Paul Foertsch, 64, of Hazelton, ND, passed away peacefully at his home on October 19, 2023. Visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Sannes Feist Family Funeral Home, Linton with Pastor Geary Dodd and Pastor Keith Bondley officiating. There will be a prayer service at 7pm. Burial will be at 10:00am on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at the Braddock Cemetery.
John was born on July 1, 1959 in Butler PA to the parents, John A and Kay (Neese) Foertsch. He graduated from Knoch High School in 1978.
On September 27th, 1991 he married Elaine (Callen) Foertsch and they were blessed with three wonderful kids: John Daniel (2000), Mae Elaine (2002), and Errol Wesley (2004). He worked at various jobs including: Winters n' Fleming, Brayman Construction, Phil Hay & Sons, PLT Tree Services, and farming with his father until July of 2012. John and his family moved to Hazelton ND, where he continued helping many different farmers/ranchers with anything and everything.
Paul, Elaine and their three kids attended Summit Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder. He had a strong Christian faith while also attending the Hazelton Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Paul moved his family to the west because of many hunting trips that he went on with his grandfather, cousin, and many other family and friends causing him to fall in love with the west. Paul loved going to tractor shows and plow days with family and friends.
He is survived by his three children: John, Mae and Errol Foertsch; brother, Albert (Debbie) Foertsch; sister, Mary Mae Foertsch; his mother, Kay Foertsch along with many brothers and sisters in law and nieces and nephews.
He is proceeded in death by his wife, Elaine; father, John A; grandparents: Don and Mary Neese and Albert and Mae Foertsch.
