Joseph H Smith, 68, Hague, ND, died Tuesday, November 26, 2024, under the care of hospice. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 2, 2024, at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hague. Visitation will be held One hour prior to the Mass. Burial will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Joe was born April 28, 1956, the son of Joseph P. and Angeline (Schmaltz) Smith, in Warren, MI. He grew up in Warren and all over the United States.

He enlisted in the United States Navy in the 70s.

Joe moved around for awhile until ranching in South Dakota. He later went to trade school to become a welder and eventually moved to Linton. Joe later moved to his grandparents' house in Hague.

He enjoyed riding Harley's, mowing lawns and snow blowing. He was a jack of all trades and could fix just about anything.

Joe is survived by his brothers, David and Michael Smith; sisters, Genevieve (Neil) Brafford and Marian Warner; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carolyn Anderson; and several aunts and uncles.
