Katherine Gross, 91, Linton, ND, passed away on December 7, 2018, at CHI St. Alexius Hospital, Bismarck, ND.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Linton.

Visitation will be from 1-8 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Myers Funeral Home, Linton.

Katherine was born to Peter and Katharina (Masset) Paul on February 15, 1927 at Linton, ND. She was raised on her family's farm, and attended rural school. On November 11, 1948 she married the love of her life, John W. Gross. Together they farmed and raised 4 sons.

Katherine worked at the Rivery as a chef's assistant and as a waitress and a cook at Linton Livestock, Holzers Café, Hot Spot Pizza, Pheasant Run and Dunks. She also worked as a barmaid for many years.

She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, gardening, playing cards, bingo, reading, fishing, and dancing. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Catholic Daughters, Christian Mothers, Catholic Order of Foresters and Knights of Columbus.

She is survived by three sons, Donald Gross, Bismarck, Kenneth Gross, Bismarck, and Max Gross, Linton; daughter-in-law, Marie Gross; 4 grandchildren, Heidi, Marty, Misty and Jason; 7 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Joe Gross; and sister-in-law, Brigitta Martin.

She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Ronald; 4 sisters, Elizabeth (Andy) Feist, Barbara (Mike) Volk, Cecelia and Annamary Paul; and 3 brothers, Max, Tony and Max Paul.
