Kathleen "Kathy" Bauman, 67, of Strasburg, ND, died May 25, 2011 at a Bismarck Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg with Fr. Paul Eberle and Fr. Albert Leary officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 27, 2011 from 12:00pm to 9:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30pm. Visitation will continue for one hour before the services at the church on Saturday. Kathy was born in Bismarck, ND on July 17, 1943, the daughter of Ernie and Kathryn (Schafer) Borr. She was raised and educated in Strasburg. She graduated from the Strasburg High School in 1961. Kathy married Florian Bauman at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg on September 7, 1963, Following their marriage, they lived on the a farm near Hague before moving to a farm east of Strasburg where they have since resided. Kathy worked as a teacher at St. Benedict's Grade School and also worked for Ozzie Miller during tax season. She also worked for Frames Plus in Strasburg until her retirement. Kathy enjoyed gardening, puzzle books, embroidery, playing gin and visiting with her family and friends. Kathy was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and St. Mary's Society. She is survived by her husband, Florian Bauman of Strasburg, ND; one son, Robert "Bob" Bauman of Centennial, CO; one daughter and son-in-law: Lisa and Kenten Magilke of Menoken, ND; two granddaughters: Kelsey Bosch of Fargo, ND and McKinzy Bosch of Bismarck, ND; one great grand daughter, Ashlynn Lerfald of Fargo, ND; one brother and sister-in-law: Ernie and Donna Borr of Bismarck, ND; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Gracia and Bob Becker of Omaha, NE, Mary Beth and Bert Ziegler of Bismarck, ND and Donna Zander and special friend, Pete of Mandan, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Walter and infant twin brothers.
