Katie Eberle, 93, Hague, passed away on April 15, 2020 at the Strasburg Care Center, Strasburg, ND.

To protect the health and safety of all, services are currently being limited as required by state and local authorities and the CDC.

Private Family Services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Saturday, April 18, 2020. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Hague.

Katie Materi was born September 12, 1926 in Hague, ND to Katherine (Richter) and Valentine Materi.  She was raised in Hague and attended country school.  She married Adam Eberle on November 5 ^th , 1945 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hague.  They lived and farmed Northeast of Hague until moving into Hague in 1964 when their farm was destroyed by a tornado.

Katie worked at the Strasburg Nursing Home and later as a cook at the Hague Public School.  She was a member of the St. Mary's Alter Society.

In her earlier years Katie and Adam enjoyed bowling and square dancing.  She also enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren.

Though small in stature, Katie had a big heart.  Katie entered the Strasburg Care Center in January of 2018.

She is survived by 3 sons, and 2 daughters in law; Jim (Judy) Eberle, Ellendale, ND, Terry Eberle, Minneapolis, MN, and Rocky (Cheryl) Eberle, Hague; 5 grandchildren, Christopher (Stephanie) Eberle, Jeanne (Vernon) Richter, Jason (Leanne) Eberle, Tyler Eberle (fiancé Emily Scherr) and Nathan (Mandi) Eberle; 4 great grandchildren, Megan and Kayla Eberle, Jonah Richter, and James Adam Eberle; 1 brother, Anton Materi; 2 sisters, Mercedes Weber, and Angie Kamla; sisters in law, Regina and Agnes Materi.

She was preceded in death by her husband Adam; an infant daughter, Marie Fay; her parents; daughter in law, Donna Eberle; brothers, Mike, John, Benny; sisters, Malonia Silbernagel, Mary Heilman, Agatha Schatz, Veronica Feist, Betty Bogulas, and Cecelia Moser.
