Kathryn Feist, 89, Strasburg, ND, died Friday, December 11, 2009 in the Linton Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at St. Anthonys Catholic Church, Linton, ND with Rev. Gary Benz officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Kathryn was born February 26, 1920, near Krassna, ND, the daughter of Anton and Natalia (Deichert) Reinbold. She attended country school. Kathryn married Joseph R. Feist on May 22, 1945 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Krassna, ND. Following their marriage, they lived and farmed southwest of Linton. They sold the farm and moved into Linton in 1965. Kathryn worked at Model Bakery for many years. She entered the Strasburg Care Center in December of 2005. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking, baking and gardening. Kathryn was a member of Christian Mothers and St. Anthonys Catholic Church. She is survived by one son: Richard Feist of Fairbanks, AK; four daughters and two sons-in-law: Helen Schumacher of Missoula, MT, Betty Lou and Dennis Ottmar of Spokane, WA, Agnes and Gary Bryant of Regan, ND and Karen Davis of Blue Springs, MO; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and two sisters, Johanna Vetter and Theresa Reis, both of Bismarck, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on April 8, 2006, one brother, three sisters and other half brothers and sisters.
