Kathy M. Heimbuck, 72, Bismarck, ND, formerly of Hague, ND, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at St. Gabriel's Community, Bismarck.

A memorial service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at St. Gabriels Community Chapel, 4580 Coleman St. Bismarck, ND 58501. Burial will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Hague.

Kathryn Marie Heimbuck was born on August 20, 1947, the daughter of Harold and Lenore (Wolf) Heimbuck.

Kathy spent her childhood years in Deadwood, SD, often spending her summers on the farm with her cousin Dorothy.  Kathy and her parents eventually moved to Hague, where she graduated from Hague High School in 1965.  Over the years she lived and worked in several areas, including Minneapolis, MN, Grand Junction, CO, Deadwood, SD, as well as Hague, where she cooked in the Café and managed the Hague Grocery Store.  In November, 2017, Kathy entered St. Gabriel's Community, giving up her cat and best friend, Angel (who is still being cared for and doing well).

Kathy's infectious laugh was a joy and will always be remembered by all who knew her.  She is being remembered as kind, loving, and appreciative.  As a child she had a fondness for dolls, evident by her beautiful collection. As an adult she truly loved all animals.

Kathy's greatest challenge over the years was her health, which she endured with unfailing courage. Her battle ended peacefully on August 31, 2019.

Kathy will be missed by her many cousins and aunt, Viola Bitz.

She was preceded in death by her parents and many aunts and uncles.
