Keith Vander Laan, 80, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021.

Funeral Service for Keith will be on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at 11:00 am at the Pollock Memorial Presbyterian Church, Pollock, with Rev. Floyd Haan officiating.

Burial will be held at the Westfield Cemetery, Westfield, ND.

Keith Vander Laan was born on June 5, 1941 to John K. Vander Laan and Angeline (Van Vugt) Vander Laan. He attended country school near his Uncle Jim's farm in the Union School District through the 8 ^th grade.

Keith loved farming. He farmed for most of his childhood and throughout his adulthood. He was proud to say that he lived his whole life on the land.  One of his memories from his adolescent years was moving cattle 13 miles on horses with help from neighbors.

Keith cherished time spent with family & friends, loved helping others, and would do anything to lend a helping hand. Traveling, fishing, and farming were three of his life-long passions. He would always talk about the good times he and his dad would have fishing. Later in life, Keith drove over 60,000 miles a year traveling around the country to enjoy the scenery.

Keith is survived by his niece, Jean Dutt and husband Paul, their children Jessica (Joshua) Campbell, Catherine (Elias) Reitzel, Laura (Noah) Krebs and Sarah Dutt, his nephew Mark Ehley, and several cousins.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents John K. and Angeline Vander Laan, his sister Ione, and brother-in-law Marvin Ehley.
