Kevin Wagner, 53, of Linton, ND, died peacefully in his home Wednesday, June 4, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Linton, ND with Rev. David Richter officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday at Myers Funeral Home, where there will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Kevin was born in Linton on January 3, 1961 to Pius and Magdalena (Fischer) Wagner. After graduating from Linton High School in 1979 Kevin switched to full-time at Wagner Body Shop. He was good with a paint gun and Pius helped him develop that skill into an art form. In 1981 Kevin moved to San Diego and worked for a General Motors dealership. His best friend, Mike Bitz, joined him in California six months later, and before long the ambitious young entrepreneurs opened their own shop. Kevin returned to Linton and the family business in 1984. He enjoyed working with his father and his older brother, Aaron. When Pius retired the boys bought Wagner Body Shop and ran it as co-owners until Kevin was diagnosed with isocyanide poisoning from years of exposure to toxic chemicals. He turned his love of collecting and auctions into a lucrative career as an antique dealer and eventually took it to the internet with eBay. Kevin's faith was an important part of his life and he enjoyed attending mass at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. He is survived by his brother, Aaron, Linton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pius and Magdalena; and his brother, Wayne, all of Linton. Kevin will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially his former sister-in-law, Sunnie Marie Lewis, Linton; his special friend, Sandee Ehler, Linton; and his best friends, Mike Bitz, Mandan; Mark Scherr, Strasburg; and Jerry Kuntz, Battle Grounds, Washington. He will remain in our hearts forever.
