Leo was born July 17, 1941, near Linton, ND, the son John, and Caroline (Horner) Paul. He attended country school and Emmons Central High School at Strasburg, ND. Leo entered the U.S. Army in 1960. He married Janice K. Senger on September 15, 1962 at Minneapolis, MN and for a number of years they made their home in Minneapolis where Leo worked as a painter at Minneapolis Moline Tractor Co.. In 1969 they returned to Linton and purchased the Stockmans Bar which they operated until 1977 when Leo began farming. He worked for the Linton Public School for the last 16 years. He was a member of St. Anthonys Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Leo died Friday, August 6, 2010 at St. Alexius Hospital, Bismarck, ND. Grateful to have shared his life are his wife: Janice Paul of Linton, ND; two sons and daughters-in-law: Mike and Shawna Paul of Linton, ND, Brian and Maricela Paul of El Centro, CA; two daughters and sons-in-law: Cindy and Wayne Farr of Shelton, WA, Shelly and Bob Fiest of Bismarck, ND; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother: Ed Paul of Pierre, SD, four sisters and three brothers-in-law: Isabella and Oscar Ternes of Strasburg, ND; Luella Reed of Chicago, IL, Lillian and Ron Sullivan of Milwaukee, WI, Bernie and Melvin Zimmer of Sioux Falls, SD. Leo was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
