Leonard "Lenny" Feist, 71, of Linton, ND, died February 16, 2024 in a Fargo, ND hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30am on Friday, February 23, 2024 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Linton, ND with Fr. Mark Aune officiating. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, February 22 at Sannes Feist Family Funeral Home, Linton. There will be a vigil/rosary at 7pm.
Lenny was born on October 31, 1952 to Leo and Viola (Wald) Feist in Bismarck North Dakota. Lenny was raised and educated in the Linton area. After graduating from Linton High School, Lenny was drafted into the United States Army where he served honorably. After serving in the Army Lenny joined the North Dakota National Guard.
Lenny married Brenda on May 2, 1981. Together they had 3 children: Joshua, Christopher and Mark. He retired from the City of Linton after working for many years. Lenny loved spending time with his family. He was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and camping. He also loved his Chevrolet vehicles. Lenny spent his time in retirement doing what he loved, spending time with people and telling stories. Lenny was a member and big part of the American Legion. He also completed volunteer work for the Linton American Legion Memorial Park.
Lenny is survived by his wife, Brenda Feist; sons: Christopher Feist and Mark Feist; adopted mother, Agnes Wald; siblings, Viola (Tony) Kuntz, Bernice Schumacher, Diane Wald, Marie Wald, Ben (Jackie) Wald. Linda (Roger) Salwei, and Kenny (Cindy) Wald; mother-in-law, Julia Ibach; brothers and sisters-in-law, Willie (Anita) Ibach, Lucy (Russ) Forsman, Duane (Karen) Ibach, Richard Ibach, Pam (Tracy) Gutknecht, Julie (Lee) Spotts and John Ibach; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Feist; parents, Leo and Viola Feist; adopted father, Benny Wald; and father-in-law, Lester Ibach.
