Leslie Beck of Linton, ND was called home by his Lord and Savior on August 25, 2021. A private family service will be held at First Baptist Church in Linton on Saturday, September 4, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Rich Cook officiating. Myers Funeral Home of Linton will be live streaming Leslie's service at www.Myersfh.com under Leslie's obituary. Burial will be at Linton Cemetery following the service. The family invites anyone who would like to attend the committal service at the cemetery to join them there at 3 PM. Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 8 PM on Friday, September 3 at Myers Funeral Home in Linton.

Leslie Herbert Beck was born to Lydia (Kurle) Beck and Herbert Beck on September 13, 1938. He grew up the youngest in the family and so found himself often in the kitchen learning to cook and bake from his mother. We all benefited from those gifts. He was raised on the Beck homestead farm six miles northeast of Linton and attended school in the country. His daily life as a boy and young man taught him the ways of farm life, and he took over the Beck farm in 1963. He married Adella Kiemele on September 1, 1963. It rained hard that day and Leslie said that was a good sign of a successful marriage. They would have been married 58 years this year. Leslie and Adella moved to town in 2011 when John took over the farm, but he continued to help out on the farm every day until the end.

Leslie loved the farm northeast of Linton where he was born and spent his entire life working. He spent countless hours doing what he loved best – feeding cattle, planting and harvesting the crops. In his later years he could often be seen haying countless miles of ditches. Leslie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Linton where he was a deacon for many years and also loved singing in the choir whether in church or various community choirs. Leslie and Della sang beautifully together at many weddings, church functions and funerals. He also served on the Temvik Farmer's Elevator Board for many years. Leslie drove the school bus for Linton Public School for almost 40 years, leaving memories with every passenger that walked up the steps. His route never allowed him pick up his own kids until their last years in school and when he could, he told his daughters they could just drive themselves to school. Thanks dad…😊 Leslie was never afraid of hard work or long hours, but always had time to help his friends, neighbors, tell you a story or give you an "absolutely." He lived his faith by trusting his loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ to supply his daily needs. He delighted in his wife, his children, and his grandchildren along with his extended family, friends, and neighbors.

Leslie is survived by his loving wife and soul-mate, Adella, along with their three children, their spouses and eight grandchildren. Son, John (Shannon) of Linton, granddaughter Taylor (Jesús) Maggiorani, Cape Coral, FL and grandson John Colton Beck of Linton. Daughter, Jerilyn (Will) MacDonald of Bismarck and grandsons Jerrod, Jayden and Ty MacDonald.  Daughter, Alison (Matthew) Putz of Blaine, MN, grandson Brennan Putz of Blaine, MN and granddaughters Coryn Putz of Bozeman, MT and Eryn Putz of Blaine, MN; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Melvin and Darlene Loebs of Linton, ND; sister-in-law Dorothy Woehl of Ashley, ND; and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lydia and Herbert Beck, his in-laws, Ferdinand and Freda Kiemele, his brother and sister-in-law, Elroy and Betty Schuetz, his brother-in-law Garry Woehl, his grandparents and many cousins.
