Obituary

Lillian R Selzler, 89, Strasburg, passed away December 20, 2019, at the Strasburg Care Center.  A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2019, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg, ND.  Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Myers Funeral Home, Linton, ND.  Rosary/vigil services will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Lillian was born on May 9, 1930 in Linton to Peter and Agnes (Klein) Kraft.  She grew up in Strasburg and attended Exeter District and St. Benedict Schools.

Lillian married Jake Krumm at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church on June 3, 1947.  They lived on a farm NE of Strasburg till his death on September 12, 1974.  They had one son and two daughters together.

She left the farm in 1975 and moved into Strasburg. It is there where she met and married Aloys Selzler on June 19, 1976.  On September 13, 2013 Aloys passed away.  She was truly a farm wife and always a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was a member of St. Peter and Paul Church, President of the Parish Council, St. Mary's Society, served as Vice President, Secretary and treasurer. She also was a leader of Spirituality committee, Beaver Valley Horse Club as a director, secretary and treasurer.  At St. Bens school she was a 4H leader, host teacher, library volunteer, CCD teacher and the president of the W.I.B.C.  She was also an avid bowler and has many trophies.

Family and friends were a huge part of Lillian's life.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, embroidering, cooking and baking for her family.  Her family have many quilts, rugs, dish towels and doilies to always remember her.

Lillian will be deeply missed by her family, Bonnie (Jim) Vetsch, Bismarck, Bernie (Steve) Johnson, Kansas; grandchildren, Bridgette (Mike) Gullickson, Hazelton, Erika McCormick, Arizona, Janice (Pat) Bolan, Texas, Rhonda (Scott) Kelsch, Linton, Julie (fiancé Kenzie) Wittmier and Jake Vetsch, Bismarck; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Hannah, Megan Jangula, Sydney Blum, Laykin Wittmier, Titan Kelsch; sister-in-law, Eileen Krumm, Bismarck; great-great-granddaughter, Johnie Jangula.

She is preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; son, Roger; sister-in-law, Gerene Kraft; brother-in-law Anton Krumm and her brother Leonard Kraft
